Support the training goals of a great nonprofit by combining instructional design principles, learning psychology, design applications, user experience research, and (when appropriate) graphics and storytelling.
SKILLS
Creative instructional designer, prefers working alone but easily coordinates with a team. User experience, graphic design, and fine art experience. Able to work well with a diverse cohort of people. 2003-2005: On-call BOA (Branch Office Administrator), Edward Jones - managed office in place of regular Branch Office Administrators. Responsible for front desk client contact, records and deposits.
1998-2003: On-call manager for two family-owned health stores in Ohio. Did product research, customer care, and sales transactions.
1985-2002: Self-employed in five home-based businesses: Commercial graphics for small businesses, intaglio custom lead crystal engraving for individuals and businesses, fine-art granite engraving, green cleaning services for homes, and web design for businesses.
VOLUNTEER
2004-present: Coordinate with a team caring for infants - toddlers in church nursery (it's impossible to have too many babies!)
1985-present: Proofreading for a ministry publisher on an as-needed basis.
1996-2003: Served Jr. High, High School and College students in Bible Study/fellowship times and activities.
1984-1987: Cartoonist for Graffiti, the Cleveland Area Mensa newsletter, and Gifted Children co-coordinator for area.
